Welcoming Baby And Making it a Family Affair
A little girl tromped through the bushes of the hospital grounds. Her auntie led her by the hand to a window. There, standing on her tiptoes, she saw her daddy in the window, holding her new baby sister for her to see. Children were not allowed in the hospital unless they were patients. The year was 1975. The little girl was me. Thankfully, times have changed.

Is My Child Developing Socially Without Preschool?
Question: My 3-and-one-half year old son has been at home with me since day one. I’m worried about his social development. He loves being around other children his age, but that doesn’t often happen. None of my friends have kids his age that he can play with, and we’re not in a position to be able to afford a preschool.
